Want to see a great live show with a bunch of energetic performers? Well then, check out the indie-rock band, AutoVaughn. Consisting of four band members from Nashville, Tennessee, this band has been playing its way across the country since their first CD release back in November of 2004. With Darren Potuck as lead singer, his vocals add a U2 sounding twist to the band. These songs, simply put, are rock songs with a consistently steady drum beat that are good to jam to on any occasion.
On the less positive side, this cd entitled Space was not something I could listen to all of the time, but that doesn’t mean it was bad either. The tracks all seem to start off different but by the end sound like the rest of the other tracks only with different lyrics. This CD listened to in small doses is good but I don’t think I could listen to the entire CD all the way through again. Don’t get me wrong, there are really good, catchy songs like “Rock your Body” or “Hell of a Place”. It just didn’t blow me away. Want to know more? Visit their website at www.myspace.com/autovaughn .
