(4 out of 5 stars)
The most amazing movie I have seen since The Matrix visually speaking. My mouth was literally wide open the entire movie from the beginning battle to the end.
This is a movie where I don’t want much plot, but just a little, so that the story will go forward and so that there will be a sequel. Shia Labeouf plays the lead…wait….Optimus Prime plays the lead as Shia Labeouf does a reasonable job keeping the human story together. Who are we kidding? You see Transformers to see them transform in front of your very eyes. You come to this movie to see the director, Michael Bay, blow stuff up. And this movie succeeds tenfold!
Even though Bumblebee is not a VW bug, Optimus is still a semitruck, and Starscream is the fighter pilot jet. Megatron has also transformed himself into a fighter jet. I read that the producers, to cut costs, had to work with GM on what vehicles to use, and I think that is ok, since what I really wanted was a semitruck and any other transformers to transform. We even get to see Soundstream, the sneaky boombox.
This movie is so amazing to see on a big screen that it must be owned on DVD, especially if you own a nice large flatscreen tv with awesome surround sound. If this movie does not win the special effects awards, someone is totally getting shafted. There isn’t much to say except this movie is awesome and I can’t wait to continually watch it and wait for the sequel.
This movie is "more than meets the eye."
