Here is my top ten, the ones I enjoy, the ones I recommend…

1.      Gladiator – The ultimate guy movie

2.   The Prestige – Not since The Usual Suspects was I so enamored with the subtlety’s of the script that keep you guessing ‘til the end.

3.     Anchorman – I continue to quote this movie. For some reason, the silliness just works.

4.     The Dark Knight – The best comic book movie of the decade, possibly ever.

5.      Into the Wild – Many have dreamed of doing what he did, but he actually did it

6.       Crash – Best race relations movie

7.      Oceans 11 – Greatest caper movie of all time. Made me want to be as cool as George Clooney or Brad Pitt

8.      Memento – The beginning of Christopher Nolan’s reign as the new supreme director (Is it wrong to have 3 of his movies on this list?)

9.       I Heart Huckabees / Notes on a Scandal / Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind – 3 of the oddest quirkiest indie movies…Jason Schwartzman’s best movie, Cate Blachett’s best unless you count Bandits, Jim Carrey at his best

10.    Gangs of New York, The Aviator – You could easily add The Departed to this list, but the first two are my favorite DiCaprio / Scorsese movies of the decade.
