Pirates of the Caribbean – At Worlds End

This third movie in a trilogy of Pirates movies is a huge waste of time. We’ve seen the special effects and know the characters, so there is really nothing new that this movie brings to the table.

Captain Jack Sparrow, as played by Johnny Depp, is just not as fresh as he once was. He begins the movie in a purgatory type state, since last we knew, he was killed by the Kracken. The movie unevenly tries to give all characters a storyline. It also attempts to present Captain Jack humor by giving us Jack’s hallucinations. It really isn’t funny as it has no place in the movie.

There is nothing terribly positive to say about this movie, except to see the second one if you want to be entertained, and the first if you want a plot that actually makes sense. This Pirate movie gets a big “Argh!” from me.
