Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

If you liked the first movie, you’ll like the second one.  This is a movie to be entertained by, no reason to be involved in a major plot and with all those summer sequels that tried throwing you plot and messing it up completely, Fantastic Four… gives you exactly what you want, a nice, simple, cool looking entertaining movie.

Critics at Rottentomatoes.com have this consensus :

"While an improvement on its predecessor, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer is nevertheless a juvenile, simplistic picture that has little benefit beyond its special effects.  37% fresh."

But don't they realize juvenile, simplistic with special effects is exactly what we want.  Just like Die Hard: a juvenile, simplistic action movie...

And Oceans 13 at 71%, fresh states "Another slick and entertaining heist film"

No, that's actually what I wanted to see, at least it was better than Oceans 12.

Finally a movie sequel that doesn't act like it needs to continue some overly complex character developing story like Spiderman or Pirates, and ends up just tiring me, finally a movie that shows me what I wanted to see and left me waiting to see a third rather than hope the franchise is done with.
