(5 Out of 5)
Pop geeks
listen up because Danger Radio is about to hook
your eardrums with their clever blend of almost
90’s boy-band driven dance tracks combined (and
saved) with modern pop rock riffs. Used and
Abused, recorded with Mike Green (Paramore,
The Matches) and Mike Elizondo (Eminem, Maroon
5) is a dangerously catchy, mainstream sounding
album that would appeal to fans of HelloGoodbye
to Maroon 5. Danger Radio shows a massive
amount of maturation from their 2007 release,
the Punch Your Lights Out EP and takes
their blend of danceable rock to the next level.
“One More
Chance,” is the rock song Justin Timberlake
never recorded, while “Your Kind (Speak to Me)”
hints toward Michael Jackson influences only
with more guitars and energy. The title track
is an anthemic piano-driven track that is sure
to have listeners smiling and singing along.
Ultimately,
Danger Radio is on the fast track to stardom
with Used and Abused and for fans of
anything pop, this record is sure to please with
the utmost satisfaction.
